get Involved
There are many ways to support Connections in our mission of strengthening communities, one youth and one family at a time. Whether you want to drop off a meal, become a regular volunteer, sponsor an activity, organize a donation drive, or coordinate a group service project, we have ways for you to be involved.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a volunteer?
The first step is to fill out our volunteer application. Staff will get in touch with you to schedule your service. If you have any questions, please send an email to outreach@connectionsifs.org.

Is there minimum age to volunteer at Connections?
We have a variety of opportunities available for families or groups with children. All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Can groups volunteer?
Definitely! Please send an email to outreach@connectionsifs.org to discuss group project options.

What is the time commitment for volunteering?
Depending on the area you would like to volunteer in, the schedule will vary. You can provide a meal or donate items at your own availability, or we can work with you to schedule a project. Other volunteer roles, like tutoring or donation sorting, would require a longer commitment.

Do you provide volunteering opportunities for court-mandated community service?
No, Connections does not have opportunities for court-mandated community service, but the New Braunfels Food Bank does.
